Holy Mary of Montevergine Association
Celebrating 70 Years of Faith, Tradition, and Community
Founded in 1955 during a pivotal period of Italian migration to South Australia, the Holy Mary of Montevergine Association has been a cornerstone of spiritual and cultural life for generations of Italo-Australians. More than a place of devotion, the Association has provided a sense of belonging, continuity, and reassurance to families establishing new lives far from their homeland.
Through the annual Feast of the Madonna, religious observances, charitable initiatives, and social gatherings, the Association has preserved cherished traditions while fostering unity across generations. Its influence extends well beyond faith, contributing profoundly to the cultural identity and cohesion of the Italian community in South Australia.
